Avery 5366 in Canva, step by step
-
Create a sheet-sized design
Canva works per design, not per label, so start with Create a design › Custom size 8.5 × 11 in, the full US Letter sheet that holds 30 Avery 5366 labels.
-
Show rulers and guides
Turn on rulers and guides (under File or View settings, depending on your Canva version), then drag vertical guides from the ruler to the left label edges at 0.531 in, 4.531 in; zoom in to place them precisely (each label is 3.438 in wide).
-
Add the row guides
Drag horizontal guides to the top label edges at 0.5 in, 1.167 in, 1.833 in … every 0.667 in … 9.833 in (each label is 0.667 in tall).
-
Design inside the boxes
Keep text at least 0.063 in inside every 5366 label edge; Canva has no snap-to-label, so check each of the 30 copies against the guides.
-
Export a print PDF
Download the 5366 sheet (Share › Download) as PDF Print with crop marks and bleed turned off, then print at 100 % (“Actual size”) on US Letter paper.
-
Or lay out the sheet with LabelGrid
Text-only 5366 labels are quicker in the designer above: it places all 30 positions for you. Images on labels are part of LabelGrid Pro.
Worked example: 20 shelf labels on 5366
20 labels on Avery 5366 fit on one page of 30 (10 boxes stay empty); for more, duplicate the finished page and make sure the guides at 0.531 in and 0.5 in are on every page.
In the LabelGrid designer the same 20 rows go into merge mode; the free version prints the first 30 (one full 5366 sheet) and Pro removes the limit. To reuse a part-used sheet, set the start position to the first empty label.

When 5366 labels print out of line in Canva
- The 5366 page shrinks when printed from the browser tab: print the downloaded PDF from a PDF viewer at Actual size instead.
- Designs sit a little off the 5366 die-cuts: snapping moved an element; zoom in and check it against the 0.531 in and 0.5 in guides.
- In Canva, 5366 labels that drift more the lower they are mean the page was scaled: at 97 % row 15, 10.5 in from the top, lands about 0.315 in off. Print at 100 %.
