Avery 5167 in Canva, step by step
-
Create a sheet-sized design
Canva works per design, not per label, so start with Create a design › Custom size 8.5 × 11 in, the full US Letter sheet that holds 80 Avery 5167 labels.
-
Show rulers and guides
Turn on rulers and guides (under File or View settings, depending on your Canva version), then drag vertical guides from the ruler to the left label edges at 0.3 in, 2.35 in, 4.4 in, 6.45 in; zoom in to place them precisely (each label is 1.75 in wide).
-
Add the row guides
Drag horizontal guides to the top label edges at 0.5 in, 1 in, 1.5 in … every 0.5 in … 10 in (each label is 0.5 in tall).
-
Design inside the boxes
Keep text at least 0.063 in inside every 5167 label edge; Canva has no snap-to-label, so check each of the 80 copies against the guides.
-
Export a print PDF
Download the 5167 sheet (Share › Download) as PDF Print with crop marks and bleed turned off, then print at 100 % (“Actual size”) on US Letter paper.
-
Or lay out the sheet with LabelGrid
Text-only 5167 labels are quicker in the designer above: it places all 80 positions for you. Images on labels are part of LabelGrid Pro.
Worked example: 80 Halloween return address labels on 5167
80 labels on Avery 5167 fit on one page of 80; for more, duplicate the finished page and make sure the guides at 0.3 in and 0.5 in are on every page.
In the LabelGrid designer the same 80 rows go into merge mode; the free version prints the first 80 (one full 5167 sheet) and Pro removes the limit. To reuse a part-used sheet, set the start position to the first empty label.

When 5167 labels print out of line in Canva
- The 5167 page shrinks when printed from the browser tab: print the downloaded PDF from a PDF viewer at Actual size instead.
- Designs sit a little off the 5167 die-cuts: snapping moved an element; zoom in and check it against the 0.3 in and 0.5 in guides.
- If every 5167 label printed from Canva is off by the same amount, the printer feeds off-centre: add the measured offset to the 0.5 in top or 0.3 in side margin, or use the LabelGrid printer offset.
