What 8 labels per A4 sheet means
A count of 8 per sheet does not fix the label size: the 7 sheets here use 4 sizes and 1 grid (2 × 4). Labels cover between 59 % and 87 % of the A4 page; the rest is margin and gaps.
Always choose the template by the code printed on the box: two 8-up sheets with different sizes or margins need different templates, even though the count matches. The most common size at this count is 99.1 × 67.7 mm (3 sheets).

| Label size | Columns × rows | Sheets | Example codes | Top / side margin | Coverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 99.1 × 67.7 mm | 2 × 4 | 3 | Avery L7165, Avery J8165, Q-CONNECT KF26055 | 13 mm / 4.7 mm | 86 % |
| 85 × 54 mm | 2 × 4 | 2 | Avery C32015, Avery Zweckform 32015 | 31.5 mm / 17 mm | 59 % |
| 70 × 72 mm | 2 × 4 | 1 | Avery L7664 | 4.6 mm / 17.9 mm | 65 % |

|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 7 | 7 | 6 |
| 100 | 13 | 13 | 4 |

Which 8-up sheet to pick
Avery J8165 is the default here because Avery codes are the usual reference for compatible sheets, and it shares its exact layout with 1 other sheet on this list, so its template prints on those too. Its labels are 99.1 mm (3.9″) by 67.7 mm (2.667″).
If you need bigger labels at the same count, the largest are 99.1 × 68.1 mm on APLI 1999; the smallest are 85 × 54 mm on Avery C32015.
