The best sheet for cosmetic labels
Labels for lip balm, lotion, serum bottles and small cosmetic jars, often tiny with a lot of required text. OnlineLabels OL1025 puts 63 labels on one US Letter sheet in 7 columns and 9 rows, which is why it is the default for cosmetic labels here.
Each label is 1″ (25.4 mm) wide and 1″ (25.4 mm) tall (round), with a 1/2″ (12.7 mm) top margin and a 3/8″ (9.5 mm) side margin on the sheet. The longest line of the preset, “0.15 oz (4.25 g)”, has 16 characters; at 10 pt one label holds about 3 lines of 8 characters, at 8 pt about 4 lines of 10.
Compared with OL1025: Avery 5167 has 88 % of the label area and 80 instead of 63 labels per sheet and Avery 5160 has 2.6× the label area and 30 instead of 63 labels per sheet. Pick the larger labels when your items need bigger type, the smaller ones when you print many.

Tips for printing cosmetic labels
- Cosmetic labelling rules (ingredient lists, net content) vary by market; check what applies to you before selling.
- Small containers may need a peel-back or fold-out label for full ingredient lists.
- Lip balm tubes need a label taller than the tube circumference minus a small overlap gap.
- Oils and lotions stain paper labels; laminate or use water-resistant label stock.
How many sheets for your items
One label per item. For 80 items on OnlineLabels OL1025 you need 2 sheets and 46 labels stay blank for next time (use the start position to skip them later).

Frequently asked questions
What size are cosmetic labels?
LabelGrid's default for cosmetic labels is 1″ round (OnlineLabels OL1025, 63 per sheet). Other sheets that fit: Avery 5167 at 1/2″ × 1 3/4″ and Avery 5160 at 1″ × 2 5/8″.
How many cosmetic labels fit on one sheet?
63 on OnlineLabels OL1025, 80 on Avery 5167 and 30 on Avery 5160. For 200 items at 1 label each you need 4 sheets of OnlineLabels OL1025.
Can every label on the sheet be different?
Yes. The preset repeats one design on every label, which suits cosmetic labels. For different text on each label, switch to merge mode and paste one row per label; the free version prints one full sheet per list.
Why do my cosmetic labels print out of line?
Check the print dialog first: “fit to page” or any scale other than 100 % shrinks the sheet, and the labels drift. Choose “Actual size” or 100 % scale, the right paper (US Letter) and no “fit to page”. If every label is off by the same amount, use the printer offset in the designer to nudge the whole sheet.
